Bodegraven, 14 March 2025 - Today was a day full of smiling faces, delicious scents, and beautiful encounters at the BOSKA Food Tools headquarters. We were visited by Stichting Met je hart Woerden, who brought a group of elderly people for a delicious and, above all, enjoyable afternoon. Together, we made pizzas and enjoyed each other's company.
Baking and Enjoying Pizzas Together
The BOSKA team was ready to roll up their sleeves. The fresh pizza dough was prepared and handed out to the elderly. Then it was time for the best part: topping the pizza yourself! From juicy tomatoes to spicy salami and lots of cheese – everyone could choose their favorite toppings. Then, the pizzas went into the hot pizza ovens. Thanks to the 300/400 degrees Celsius, they were baked incredibly fast, ready within 90 seconds. The smell of fresh pizza filled the room while everyone at the table enjoyed the food and the great company.
A Warm Ending
After the pizzas, there was still room for a sweet treat: advocaat or vanilla custard with whipped cream. As everyone enjoyed their dessert, they chatted happily. Memories were shared, there was lots of laughter, and the atmosphere was warm and laid-back. An afternoon full of great conversations, delicious food, and above all, fun.
A Special Foundation with Dedicated Volunteers
Stichting Met je hart is dedicated to combating loneliness among the elderly. Thanks to the efforts of their volunteers, they are able to organize valuable encounters, where personal attention and genuine connection are at the heart. These moments truly make a difference and ensure that these elderly people feel seen and valued. It’s wonderful to see how their efforts bring smiles and meaningful conversations.
A Lasting Memory
To end this special day, all the elderly participants and volunteers from Stichting Met je hart received a BOSKA serving board and a pizza cutter as a gift. This way, they can relive the wonderful afternoon at home. A small gesture, but a beautiful memory of an afternoon filled with connection and enjoyment.
Volunteering at BOSKA
At BOSKA, we find it important to do something for others. That’s why, as a team, we volunteer twice a year. Additionally, every colleague can take part in a volunteer activity of their choice once a year during work hours. Together, we not only create the best Food Tools but also make the world a little bit better. This afternoon with Stichting Met je hart was the perfect example of that. We’re already looking forward to the next time!
